Residential Swing Chains Three types available: uncoated, Plastisol-coated, and soft-grip coated. We recommend coated chains, to avoid pinching kids' fingers. To attach the chain to a seat or a swing hanger on the play structure, you'll probably need a fastener (see below).

Residential Swing Chain Fasteners These swing chain fasteners are used to connect the swing chains to the swing hanger on the structure, and to the swing seat below. You have 4 options: the H-Shackle, the Clevis, the S-Hook, or the Spring Loaded Connector Clip. • The H-Shackle is the sturdiest choice, and it's easy to open (using the Allen wrench). • The Clevis is sturdy, but only opens on one end. Also requires the Allen wrench. • The S-Hooks are tough but require an expensive opener (see below). • The Spring Loaded Connector Clip is the easiest option but not the strongest.
