These modern tires are made from hollow, roto-molded plastic, so they're lightweight yet tough. The tires don't come with swing chains or swing fasteners, unless otherwise stated. To connect the swing chain to the tire and to the swing hanger on the structure, you'll need fasteners.

These swing hangers attach to the play structure, and you hang swing chains from them using fasteners (see below). These hangers are heavy-duty cast ductile iron,
with Oilite bronze bushings.

Commercial Swing Chains
Three types are available: uncoated, Plastisol-coated, and soft-grip coated. We recommend coated chains, to avoid pinching kids' fingers. To attach the chains to the swing hanger above, and to the tireswing seat below, you will need fasteners.

Swingset parts replacement :: swing chains - plastisol rubber coated

Plastisol Coated Chain (3/16")
Sturdy chain, dipped in liquid plastisol. The plastisol coating comes in many attractive colors and prevents little fingers from getting pinched in the chain. Lengths available:

Soft Grip Tube Chain
Sturdy chains embedded in rubber solid rubber casings. Total length: 5 feet. 32" of blue, yellow, or green soft grip covering. Zinc plated links.

Commercial Swing Chain Fasteners These fasteners are used for attaching swingseats to chains, and for attaching the top of the chains to the swing hangers on the structure. There are three main options: H-Shackles, Clevises, or S-Hooks. We recommend H-Shackles, which require only the Allen Wrench to open and close (S-Hooks, on the other hand, require a pair of S-Hook Pliers, which can be pricey.)
